Cuba, the ideal choice for New Year's Eve
It is also called the Republic of Sun. But probable, this is the last thing for which it is known. The Havana, the rum and especially Fidel Castro made it famous. From time to time, it was loved by a Hemingway, Marques or Maradona.
Endless beaches, Caribbean Sea, sun, history, tradition…That’s Cuba: a real touristic heaven (discovered from a short while also by the Romanians). If you want to go in Cuba, you must begin with Varadero Beach. First: is situated near Havana (and this is how you get to see two locations). Second: it is the coolest touristic area from the Republic del Sol. Varadero is situated in the northern side of the isle, on 22 kilometers of white and fine sand of the Hicacos Peninsula. The sand has also another quality: it steps gently in a sea surprisingly warm that seems to lock in its reflexes incomparable tons of blue. Varadero has become a resort in the ‘40s, when the wealthy Cubans have taken over from Americans the taste of losing time staying at sun.
Hardly during the last 10 years it faced an unprecedented touristic development. The beaches were always the number one attraction of the area, but Varadero has many things to offer. Caves and a chain of gorges easily accessible, plus a virgin relief, well maintained. Then, Cardenas and Matanzas, those two towns together with Zapata Peninsula and the famous SPA from San Miguel, offer a set of cultural, historical and natural attractions. Obviously, scuba-diving, yachting, deep-sea fishing and other water sports are in demand in Varadero. You like or not diving, you must witness something sensational: Azul Ojo del Megano, a deep cave of 70 metres, famous for its restless waterfalls, coral reefs, multicolored fish banks , located on the rocks, close to the beach Cadiz, even next to Villa Clara. The New Year’s Eve is ideal to Varadero. A package of 7 days, in a five stars hotel with all-inclusive, plus two days to Havana, plus transportation with the plane Bucharest – Amsterdam – Havana and back is worth from 2128 euro through Promoturism
