Traian Basescu: Romania To Return To Growth 6 Months After SUA, Germany And France
President Traian Basescu thinks that Romania’s economic revival is strictly linked to the evolution of the largest economies of the world and will return to economic growth at six months after the revival of economies like USA, Germany and France.
"Romania does not aim to overcome crisis through its own efforts, as it could not do that. (…) Romania is dependent on the economic revival of big economices such as USA, Germany, France. In six month after these countries resume their growth, we will also do it, following their markets reopening for Romanian merchandise," Basescu said during a meeting with businessmen in the town of Fetesti.
He explained that even if the government would have "increased the industrial production, with money from the state budget, borrowed money especially for this action," Romania couldn’t have sold anything. So it would have been a wrong decision fot the government to take, the president stated.
