New Board of Directors of Romanian Central Bank, invested by majority vote
The new Board of Directors of National Bank of Romania (BNR) was invested today by the two Chambers of the Parliament with 251 votes “for” and 41 votes “against. Parliament passed the list of new members in its whole, as was proposed by the budget-finance committees.
Thus, the new Board of Directors of BNR is composed of Mugur Isarescu - president of the Board and BNR Governor, Florin Georgescu - Deputy Governor of BNR and member of the Board, Bogdan Olteanu - Deputy Governor and member of the Board, Cristian Popa, Dinu Marin, Nicolae Danila, Virgil Stoenescu, Agnes Nagy and Napoleon Pop - members of the Board.
