Romania’s new car sales down 54.3% in the first nine months
The Automotive Manufacturers and Importers Association, or APIA, announced that the sales of new cars in Romania dropped 54.3% on the year to 101,770 vehicles in the first nine months. Last year, between January and September, new car sales stood at 222,997 units.
In September alone, new car sales were down 2.8% on the month to 9,342 units, APIA said.
Romania's overall auto market (including cars, commercial vehicles and buses) dropped 57.2% on the year to 114,573 units in January-September.
