Romanian Transelectrica Raised Transport of Energy Tariff By 5.4%
Romania’s power grid operator Transelectrica announced today the increase of the average tariff for electric power transport service with 5.4%, starting the 1st of January. The price was modified from 16.13 lei (EUR1=RON4.2265) per MWh to RON17/MWh.
Romania's Energy Regulatory Authority ANRE approved the tariff increase, as well as the 3% hike of the system service tariff, at RON20.68/ MWh. On the other hand, the fee for the services provided by Romanian power exchange Opcom remained unchanged at RON0.3/ MWh. The above tariffs do not include VAT. The Ministry of Economy owns 73.64% of Transelectrica, while investment fund Fondul Proprietatea owns 13.5% of the company's shares.
