Romania November Construction Output, 3rd Biggest Monthly Rise In EU

Romanian construction output went up 2.9% on the month in November last year. EU's statistics office Eurostat data show that this is the third-highest monthly increase in the European Union. Only Slovakia and Portugal placed ahead of Romania, with monthly advances of 13.7% and 4.1%, respectively.

 

Year-on-year, however, Romania reported the weakest performance across the EU, with a 24.4% decline in November. Neighbor Bulgaria followed second, with a 22.5% annual drop in production, while Slovenia posted an 18.1% decrease.
