Romanian Government Approves Building Rural Homes For Specialists
Three acts which have been proposed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism were approved today by Romania’s Government. The issues referred to are renting state-built homes, housing specialists in rural areas and improving buildings threatened by earthquakes.
According to the first act, homes built by the National Housing Agency (ANL) to be rented may be sold to their tenants on request, after at least one year of uninterrupted renting. Another Government decision aims to attract specialists to rural areas through the program "Revival of the Romanian village - ten homes for specialists," which will be carried out through ANL. Ten homes would be built in every commune and be rented mainly to young specialists below the age of 35, teaching staff, doctors, nurses and police officers.
And last, but not the least, the third program is destined to design and perform upgrade work on multi-storey buildings most threatened by earthquakes and which are a public risk.
