EBRD and Austria finance the SMEs from Romania

The SMEs can bring non-reimbursable funds, for this time administrated by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and financed by the Government of Austria. This facility was recently approved through a special program. It’s about Business Advisory Services - Romania through which the financing is carried out. The program is especially directed to the consulting companies. The National Council of SMEs has revealed the fact that the program Business Advisory Services offers subventions of maximum 50% from the net cost of the consulting project, however the sum can’t exceed the quantum of 10.000 euro. All the ones which want to hand in projects for accessing this type of financings must know the fact that for choosing the files there are the same severe conditions as in the case of the structural funds. Also, the SMEs benefit of assistance in defining the necessity of business consulting of the company and of support in selection the best local consultants for solving out the specific problems of each company, as the representatives of the National Council of SMEs précised. The program Business Advisory Services - Romania supports financially a great variety of consulting projects. This helps a lot for increasing the competitiveness of the small and medium sized enterprises and for improving the economical performance. However, there is a range of economic activities which can’t benefit of this type of non-reimbursable co-financings administrated by EBRD. It’s about the already started projects or the ones elaborated by companies which carry on activities such as the real estate development, primary agriculture, financial services, gambling, weapons and military technique, or the ones concerning the beverage strong alcoholized. The companies which have Romanian majority and private capital, are on the market for at least two years, have real potential of development and have “a need of consulting services” can be beneficiaries of these co-financings. According to the criteria of the program Business Advisory Services - Romania there are eligible the companies which activate in the domain of services, and also of production. In discussion enter only the consulting projects. Of the consulting companies there are eligible the ones which have market experience of at least two years and which have Romanian majority capital or Romanian individual consultants.
