Romanian Foreign Exchange Reserves Dropped Down to EUR31.6 Billion

Romanian's foreign exchange reserves dropped down EUR362 million in June, to EUR31.627 billion, in the context of foreign exchange inflows of EUR792 million, while outflows totaled EUR1.15 billion, according to central bank data. The central bank's gold holdings were flat on the month at 103.7 metric tons in June, but their valued adjusted for international gold price rose to EUR3.37 billion from EUR3.26 billion a month earlier. citeste mai mult

Romania Can Gain Euro1,7 Billion From Selling Polution Certificates

Romania’s Environment Minister Laszlo Borbely claims that the Gouvernment can gain 1,7 billion euros by the end of 2011 from selling pollution certificates. The money will be alocated for environmental projects. “By the end of 2011 we should sell as much as possible. We must admit we are a little overdue. Romania should gain over 1,7 billion euros.  Romania Might Regulate Online Gambling

According to Romanian Finance Ministry secretary of state Bogdan Dragoi, online gambling might be regulated and authorized as a way to attract considerable sums of money to national budget.  The Finance Ministry wants to allow the setting up of a firm tasked with checking the money collection process. People close to the matter sustain that last year's estimations show online bets made by Romanians nudge EUR500 million.     Dragoi said Romania amended last year the law regulating traditional gambling and increased gambling authorization taxes, which triggered revenues totaling 550 million lei (EUR1=RON4.1756), compared to 120 million in 2008.
