Bucharest has 13 authorized hostels
Bucharest is one of the most expensive capital cities from Europe in terms of tariffs practiced for accommodation at the hotel units. Practically, in the capital city it is difficult to find accommodation for a price under one million lei, with one exception: in hostels. The tariffs practiced by those start from 10 euro/night, an eventual disadvantage being that practically the room is shared with several persons. However, there are only 81 authorized hostels at national level, of which 13 are situated in Bucharest. The capital city of Romania in terms of accommodation tariffs is over the European average level. So, according to a Deloitte study, that analyzed the interval April 2007- April 2008, the average price of a hotel room in Europe is of 108 euro, against the average level of 129 euro in the capital city of Romania. An accommodation night costs even 500 euro during April 2-4
The NATO summit from April sets going a whole industry of the products and services supplies. For many of these the deadline for send the documentation expired and for others is for the curent month or in March.
