The Unemployment Rate in Romania Dropped Slightly in September

According to Romania’s National Employment Agency ANOFM, the jobless rate dropped in September from 7.39% to 7.35%. The number of unemployed people has reduced to 670,247, from which 289,336 are women. The jobless rate amongst women is 6.78%. In the same month of the last year the indicator pointed 6.9%.   The areas with the most jobless people are Vaslui (12.44%), Mehedinti (12.06%), Teleorman (11.58%), Covasna (10.68%) and Gorj (10.54%). On the other hand, the smallest percentage of unemployed persons is found in Ilfov (2.71%), Bucharest (2.97%), Timis (4.27%), Constanta (5.15%) and Arad (5.55%). citeste mai mult

 For women is three times more difficult to succeed in businesses

In Moldavia, the entrepreneurial initiative for women is still low, the small number of businesses developed by them being a prove of this. The trainers from some non-governmental bodies, and also women that manage businesses, wanted to prove at Iasi that the success in businesses doesn’t take into account the gender, male or female, but a set of other abilities. The aspirants to the status of entrepreneur were trained during the seminar “Days of entrepreneur women”, organized by T.O.S.M.E.C Iasi, about the ways in which non-reimbursable funds from the European Union or from the public budget can be obtained. Ideas concerning the marketing of a business, proposals for new businesses, and also solutions concerning the financing with non-reimbursable European funds were a few of the themes approached during the conference “Days of entrepreneur women”, that took place in Iasi. Corporations, banks, governments, parliaments and European courts - all have in common the fact that men own the power levers. The women manage especially the socio-cultural activities. Even if the women represent more then half from the graduated of the European Universities, their success is seldom materialized in the access to the power levers, being this economical, political or judicial. In the business world, nine out of ten members of the administration councils from the big corporations listed to the European stock exchange are men, the informal barriers which block the way of the women towards the power spheres being diverse. The corporatist culture imposes ambition and availability 24 hours a day, while the women are perceived as being passive, shy and with a power of action limited by their familial responsibilities.
